The Strike Sessions is a Vancouver-based DJ crew founded by Phil David and Sean Cranbury in winter of 2018.
They served up a monthly remedy of molten grooves at the Fox Cabaret from February 2018 until March 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic shut everything down.
They mix mostly vinyl records but do pull from the internet when necessary.
Focusing on the soul, funk, and hip-hop styles from the late 1960’s to the current day they honour the spirit of the great artists whose music they play. Music of exultation, experimentation, and protest designed for dancefloors.
